Im Ersten Weltkrieg k\u00e4mpfte er als Infanterist in der 2. Ersatz-Maschinengewehr-Kompanie des 16. Infanterie-Regiments. (Verlustliste: 2. Ersatz-Maschinengewehr-Kompagnie des XVI. Armeekorps).
